Where Is God?

All of us go through times in life where we wonder where God is.  Is he really there?  Does he care what is going on in my life, in my community, and in this world?  Where is God during a pandemic?  These types of questions were asked by the Israelites as well, when they were in captivity in Egypt and likely as they reflected on their time in Egypt (Exodus 1:8-14; 2:23).

The first two chapters of Exodus set the stage for what is to come throughout the book (part two of a five-part book series).  No matter what transpires, God sees and God knows (2:25).  This was true for the ancient Israelites and it is still true today.  Why?  Because we are told that God is faithful to his covenant and to his promises (2:24).  He sees and he knows and he is faithful.

Whatever you are facing this week, God sees and God knows.  Maybe you need to hear this.  Maybe a friend needs to hear this.  Don't keep it to yourself, but spread the word.

Thank you for this! Sometimes we get so lost in the crazy stress of life and forget to stop and remember that God is in control and we can just let go.

You are right, Tracy. Exodus encourages us to remember what God has done in the past!
